This is the final eclipse in the Sagittarius / Gemini eclipse cycle.

This cycle began on June 5th, 2020. If you can look back on your life at that time, what changes were you embarking on? What has transformed since then?

This is the final lunation to tie up the loose ends regarding the houses that were affected for the last year-and-a-half or so [see forecast, below].

New Moons symbolize the SEED of new beginnings, and eclipses are the signposts of CHANGE.

This specific eclipse holds many hopeful and visionary signatures …

The Moon is applying to a conjunction with Mercury in Sagittarius [exact 7.43 am at 15 deg 33’ Sagittarius], signifying a clarity of focus and vision regarding personal philosophy. What matters most to you now?

The Moon / Neptune square [exact at 3.22 pm at 20 deg 24’] can help you tune in to illusions and emotional ideals … as well as spiritual insights. What is a needed vision, and what is illusion? These are important concepts to contemplate this new moon.

The Moon is applying to a sextile with Jupiter [exact just after midnight, eastern standard time] where many of us may want to stay up and revel into the wee hours!!!

This adds to the power of the expansive visionary energy, since Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius.

Contemplating what happened in previous cycles of eclipses on the Sagittarius/Gemini axis can give you clues as to what types of major changes and turning points can be expected, moving forward on the continuum of this astrological signature.

RITUALS FOR THIS SOLAR ECLIPSE
In the DARK of the moon, we are in the primordial space …
pre-conception.

As the moon wanes, I just try to ALLOW.

Allow feelings.

Allow grief.

Allow the deep tearing of release. It can HURT.

Friday night, as the moon is waning to its darkest point, create an altar to the practice that you are most connected with.

Meditate, and go deep. This is not the time to “do” any ritual for increase and expansion.

This is a time for release and purification.

There will be time later in the waxing cycle to plant seeds in the soil of what has been relegated to the compost heap, which helps to nourish the soil.

Personally, I will be communing with Hekate on every new moon; though I honor her daily, the new moon is HER time.

RITUAL BATH
- Make sure your bathtub is squeaky clean
- in a clean washcloth, add Epsom salt (a few tablespoons), sea salt, dried lavender, and/or sage. Tie it with string or a rubber band and put it in your bath. If you don’t have the herbs, plain salt in the bath will do … add a few drops of essential oils if you have them, or make a cup of peppermint tea and add it to your bath.
- light candles and incense if you like.
- Soak in the bath, and imagine the salt pulling out any mental, physical, or psychic impurities from your body and aura.
- Imagine all obstacles to your goals are being released, and reaffirm your commitment to do all in your power to bring your ideas into form.
- When you feel clear, imagine all of the impurities are washed down the drain, and express gratitude for clarity, and the opportunity to make a fresh start.

Some people are more affected by this eclipse than others.
When your personal chart is hit more directly, it means this is a deeply critical period of shift and transformation.
