New Moon in Capricorn: SETTING INTENTION

2018 brings many opportunities, but the most important theme would be GETTING DOWN TO BUSINESS.

This is the beginning of a three-year cycle of focused intention on mastery, discipline, and committing yourself to positive habits and practices that will get you where you want to be.

Due to the heavy influence of Saturn as it sojourns through the sign of its rulership, the Cardinal Earth sign of Capricorn, this New Moon is the perfect time to put your thoughts into writing, and make a commitment to diligently get on with the hard work you know is necessary for your goals to come to fruition.

The first New Moon of 2018 greets us with SIX planets in Capricorn: Saturn, Mercury, Pluto, and Venus, in addition to the Sun/Moon conjunction at 25 deg 54’. You cannot find a better time to set your Saturnian intentions.

Last month, two days before the Winter Solstice (when the Sun enters the cardinal sign of Capricorn), Saturn entered Capricorn, and then joined the Sun in a perfect conjunction on the same day. What a way to welcome Saturn!

Saturn transits can be tough, but in the sign of its rulership Saturn energy can be harnessed more readily, as long as you go along with what Saturn needs from you. Saturn rewards discipline and mastery, giving accolades for work well done.

There are no free lunches with Saturn: during His transits you will be judged, rewarded for due diligence, or penalized for cutting corners.

Saturn likes long-term thinking; where would you like to be in three years, when Saturn has completed His time in his sign? What goal are you willing to dedicate yourself to? Who do you want to be in three years?

Write down your goals and make a commitment to yourself that you will love yourself and your life enough to follow through! The good news is: this is a long-term transit; you can break your goal down into three years, and then further into quarters. Slow and steady is Saturn’s way, but you must commit and keep moving forward, however slowly.

This New Moon is preceded by a major aspect that will have three “hits” this year, and adds major TRANSFORMATIVE energies to your goals.
Jupiter is in a helping aspect with Pluto (Jupiter in Scorpio / Pluto in Capricorn sextile at 19 deg 18’ on 1/15/18 at 11.13 pm est) and will be the first activation of the unfolding of some kind of idea or an opportunity.

Plant those seeds!
These two transformational giants will meet again in mid-April, and lastly in mid-September.
