New Moon in Pisces: A Look Behind the Veil
… with rituals and forecasts for every sign!

Pisces season has always been a deeply inspirational time for me. 

As someone with a stellium in Pisces involving Mercury, Chiron, South Node, Vesta, & Ceres in my natal fifth house of creativity and pleasure, I’m rather comfortable with the hazy, poetic, Pisces flow. 

It’s a time of the year when “reality” gets a bit nebulous, and dreams come to life more readily, often in dramatic and unexpected ways.

It’s time to drink deeply from the aqua blue ocean of the collective unconscious … where dreams reveal, and imagination ignites.

This New Moon in Pisces has a truly mystical quality to it, being closely conjoined to Neptune, the planet known for fuzzy boundaries and rose-colored glasses. 

VENUS is exalted in Pisces, and is closely conjoined to Neptune and the Sun/Moon conjunction … since she is so close to the Sun, she is not visible in the night sky. This condition is called “under the beams” in traditional astrology; though she is in a positive placement in Her exalted status, Venus’ gifts are more internalized, when we can appreciate beauty, and the arts in a more private, personal way.

Neptune is also the modern ruler of Pisces (the traditional ruler is Jupiter) and adds a gauzy, mystical quality to this particular lunation; it’s not a time to get much practical work done, but rather, a time to get lost in poetry, beauty, mystical endeavors, and ethereal pleasures.

This month offers an opportunity to seek the liminal, dissolve or stretch our boundaries, and experience a heightened sense of wonder, inspiration, and oneness. 

Spiritual practices, self-care, journaling, creative writing, poetry, and songwriting, can flow easier now, as long as what you’re trying to convey is not too attached to logic or the status quo. Sometimes ideas flow easier through images and symbols than through words; paint some scribble with your prose, add color to rhyme scapes and see what new worlds your imagination can birth.
