Full Moon in Libra / Ostara Ritual: Now It Begins!
Wednesday, March 20th, 2019  (at 9.43 pm edt - 00 deg 09’)

Welcome, Spring!

I don’t know about you, but it always feels like the Sun’s ingress into Aries is the REAL “new year”, when energies ignite, and the blood starts to rise. I can feel it in my veins …

Astrologically speaking, it IS the new year … Aries is the first sign on the zodiacal wheel, ruled by fiery Mars, and this is the time when we can feel him forging ahead with enthusiasm and confidence: the trailblazer, explorer, and pioneer.

If the chart for this equinox is any indication, the coming season promises a chance to break down barriers and move in a new direction, releasing the limiting inner dialogue that keeps us from creating the life we crave.

The Sun moves into Aries at 5.58 PM EDT, and the Full Moon is exact shortly thereafter at 9:43 PM, creating a window of opportunity where ritual will be more potent than usual.

Most astrologers agree that lunations—especially Full Moons— are more powerful and significant when they fall on an Equinox or Solstice. The one blasting us this evening has the potential to super-charge our rituals, impelling us to shed resistance, wield inner power, and move forward with courage and conviction.

Set your intention, and get out under the Full Moon tonight!

See the ritual ideas I’ve posted, below.

There are many astrological aspects at play at this time, and will be accessible for ritual and meditation for the next few days

If you can’t make the time to do a small ritual tonight, this window is open as long as the Moon is in Libra (through Friday afternoon).

Chiron, Uranus, and the Equinox Full Moon
Change is afoot, my friends, with Chiron so deeply connected to this Aries ingress at 01 deg 45’; Chiron only recently re-entered Aries on February 18th, 2019, after a long stint in Pisces since February 8th, 2011 (and a short time in Aries from April 17th - September 25th, 2018). Chiron is often best known as “the wounded healer”, but he is so much more than that. Master healer, yes; also, the one to nurture your potential. What is that one thing you just KNOW would change your entire life for the better, if only you could commit to it? THIS.

Spring Equinox: Ostara Ritual
ritual options:
a red candle (for Aries/Mars)
a bowl of water
a bowl of salt (to represent the earth element)
incense or essential oil diffuser (to represent the air element)
seeds for planting
small pieces of paper to write on

NOTE: All you really need is you, The Full Moon, and the commitment to doing your part.

However … here are some ideas to create a ritual, but ultimately, you want to make it your own.

Write down your intention for the coming year, and focus on what you REALLY want, not on what other will tell you is “practical.” This is the time for the courage of your convictions, not “playing it safe.”

If you aren’t excited to the point of TINGLE, your goal is just not big enough.

Write what you want to create/embody this year, and hold the paper to your heart, as you speak out loud to The Moon Goddess while you gaze upon Her, making a vow to yourself and the cosmos to do your part in the manifestation of your goal.

Best to do this just before / around the exact time of the Full Moon, exact tonight, Wednesday, March 20th, 2019  at 9.43 pm EDT.

As I stated before, if you can’t make the time to do a small ritual tonight, this window is open as long as the Moon is in Libra (through Friday afternoon).

Want to do more?

  • create an altar for the spring equinox, and light a red candle that you burn a little bit at a time over the next few days as you sit silently meditating on your goal … or dance, or journal as you think about or work on your goal! What feels right to you?

  • get some seeds that you will plant this year, and put your intentions into them, representing your goals for the coming year.

  • decorate your altar with springtime flowers, “easter” type decorations … anything that feels like spring to you

  • make a “vision board”: a collage of your goal and what it represents for you. How will you feel once you have achieved it?

  • take a ritual bath before doing ritual, with epsom salt and essential oils

  • after three days, take the list of your intentions and bury them outside, or bury them under the seeds you blessed, and watch them grow with your garden

May the season bring you growth, prosperity, and inspiration!

Love,
Sarolta
