Full Moon in Leo: Hail, the Awakener!
Wednesday, Feb 16th, 2022 [at 11.56 am est - 27 deg 60’]

This FULL MOON IN LEO has me thinking about the Goddess: SEKHMET THE AWAKENER.
She is an Egyptian Queen … part lioness, and part human. She is a solar emanation of the divine feminine, attuned to the sign of Leo.

She is a protector of women and children, and those who are inhumanely treated.

She is sometimes associated with the planetary energies of Mars and Pluto, a fierce defender, and agent of transmutation.

Just two hours before the full moon is exact, Venus and Mars … the lovers of the zodiac …are conjoined in the sign of Capricorn. [at 16 deg 53’ Capricorn]

Usually, Venus and Mars are conjoined once a year, and the effects only last about a week.

THIS YEAR, however, it’s lasting a lot longer, since they are dancing within ten degrees until early April!

What does that mean?

Energy [Mars] for beauty and creativity [Venus]
Passion and romance!
Clarifying creative purpose, artistic projects, and home renovation
Cutting out [Mars] anything out of alignment with our passion [Venus]
Warriors for love!
Marie Kondo style of clearing out [Mars] anything that DOESN’T “spark joy” …

ANOTHER MAJOR TRANSIT:
JUPITER / URANUS SEXTILE

This is a transit that you definitely don’t want to ignore, since this opportunity comes so rarely, and is so needed after all the heavy energy we’ve all endured for such a grueling stretch.

We have the chance to have major breakthroughs in our lives, cognitively, emotionally, and spiritually.

The great astrologer Acyuta-bhava Das (Adam Elenbaas) at nightlightastrology.com said something about this transit that made me take pause.

He said something about how this aspect can help us get a breakthrough on something we’ve been dedicated to for a long time …

This aspect is exact on Thursday, Jupiter’s day …

Representations of the four elements:
stones or salt [earth] NORTH - green candle
Candles [fire] SOUTH - red candle
Incense [air] EAST - yellow candle
A bowl of water [water element] WEST - blue candle

JUPITER correspondences:

- Royal blue or purple candle [a white candle can always work too]

- Cloves, juniper, nutmeg

I suggest performing your rite on Jupiter’s Day [Thursday] during Jupiter’s hour [see the guide at the bottom of the page for finding the planetary hour for your location.]

This is such a potent time to connect to the Divine Feminine aspect of the Goddess Sekhmet! If you are called, this is the time.

We all must find our individual true path, and there is not one path that fits us all.
