New Moon in Aquarius: Emerging from the Depths
Tuesday, Feb 1st, 2022  [at 12.46 am est - 12 deg 20’]

20% on consultations through Valentine’s Day!

This New Moon in Aquarius can have us feeling like we’re slowly crawling out of a cave of self-reflection.

While Venus was retrograde in Capricorn [from December 19th through January 29th] we had the chance to dive deep into our desires, as she merged with Pluto, the god of the Underworld.

What shadows did we uncover?  What parts of us are ready to be restored in the process?

This healing journey is akin to soul retrieval, a shamanic practice, a process of reclaiming parts of ourselves we may have given away.

Mercury is still retrograde for a short while, also in Capricorn, and will turn station direct on February 3rd [at 11.13 pm est at 24 deg 23’ Capricorn.]

The Capricorn sector of our charts is being excavated, as we sift through the treasures, saving only the pieces that hold our hearts.

That same area of your chart is ripe for moving forward constructively, after all the inner work over the last few weeks.  Mars is now exalted in Capricorn, meaning that the energies of the warrior planet are buoyed and heightened when Mars is in this sign.  What are you ready to handle now, in a measured and energized way?

Revisit last month’s New Moon in Capricorn article to see what house Capricorn lives in according to rising sign.

This New Moon gives us the new start we’ve been waiting for.
The Sun/Moon conjunction is closely aligned with Saturn in Aquarius [at 15 deg 31’] and squaring Uranus [10 deg 54’ Taurus], where we can now have new insights on ways to be innovative regarding reform, restructuring, or facing barriers and limitations.

With Mars so active this month, we can be confident in taking the practical steps needed to manifest the insights the Venus retrograde brought us.

WAXING MOON PHASE RITUAL
Moon Magic gains momentum as She waxes to FULL …
The forecasts for each sign include a personal ritual created specifically for your rising sign.

You can add any wishes or goals to your ritual; you are not limited to the issues associated with the rising sign [though you might consider giving those issues some thought.]

Use your intuition and imagination when you build your altars; a sincere “reaching out” for insight is what’s most essential.

From the website: “Note that a Planetary Day starts at the moment of sunrise on the given date in the selected location and ends with the next sunrise in this location. So Planetary Days do not coincide with the common calendar days.”

ARIES
The time ahead highlights expanding your connections (11th house), and finding/attracting those with whom you resonate on a deeper level. Examine how you can best use your valuable energy and resources; are you playing it too safe? It might be a valuable investment to plan for future community-building opportunities.
Ritual: On Mercury’s day and hour (Wednesday Feb. 9th at sunrise) create an altar for Mercury: make it as fancy or as plain as you would like, with an orange candle, a bowl of water, a bowl of salt, and incense (representing the elements of fire, water, earth, and air). Write down your wishes and imaginings of how you’d like to expand your circle and build your community. Put the paper under your candle, and light it.
